A year after completing Greed, Harrison began Eat 22 (11 March 2001 – 11 March 2002), her seminal data collecting project. For one year and one day she photographed and recorded information about everything that she ate. Eat 22 is now on permanent display at the Wellcome Collection in London.

For one year and one day, commencing on her 22nd birthday and ending on her 23rd, Harrison photographed and recorded information about everything that she ate (1,640 meals and snacks). Throughout that year, these ‘proto-selfies’ were posted to the original Eat 22 website every week, where they began to attract a global following. The new Eat 22 website was launched in June 2007 to coincide with the opening of the Wellcome Collection in London, where Eat 22 is now on permanent display.
Following Eat 22, Harrison went on to document many more actions and events occurring in her everyday routine over long periods of time, before she finally officially ‘quit’ data collecting in August 2006. For Gold Card Adventures she recorded the total distance she travelled on London Transport in a year (9,236 km). In 2003, for the Daily Quantification Records, she wore a pedometer for a year calculating the total distance she walked (2,269 km), counted the number of swear words she uttered (2,427), alcoholic drinks she consumed (559) and gaseous emissions she produced (7,784), among many other things. Then for three years from 1 January 2006 – 31 December 2008 for her Tea Blog, she documented the thought that is most on her mind every time she had a hot drink.
