Glasgow Community Energy

Hello friends,

I hope you've been keeping well this last year.

I'm getting in touch about a few projects I've been working on during lockdown.

The first is Glasgow Community Energy – Glasgow's new community-owned renewable energy co-operative, which developed out of the Radical Renewable Art + Activism Fund project I launched back in 2015.

We're currently running a Community Share Offer giving local people and community organisations the opportunity to invest and become members of the co-operative. Don't miss your chance to join before the deadline this Friday 18 June 2021.

Next up, I'm doing an artist's talk about my Early Warning Signs project – in real life(!) – at the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh on Saturday 26 June 2021, 2pm. Please sign-up and join me there!

Finally, I'm putting a shout out to any local organisations, individuals or groups who would like to help me bring Bus Regulation: The Musical (the Strathclyde version) to Glasgow before the Council election in May next year. Please do get in touch if you're interested!

Following the Musical's premiere in Manchester in September 2019, the Mayor made the historic decision for Manchester to be the first UK city-region to commit to re-regulating its buses since the idiotic policy of de-regulation in 1986. We need Glasgow to be next!

Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you soon,

Ellie
