Hello, You probably don't know this but, for the last three-and-a-half years, I’ve been Undercover artist-in-residence at Broadway Cinema in Nottingham. Now, to mark the launch of Digital Broadway - the new arts programme at the cinema, my secret is finally out. I’ve been commissioned to make the new screen-based work I’ve Been Watching You which takes the form of an animated notebook chronicling the anecdotes, thoughts and reviews relating to the 207 films I have watched whilst on shift. The 45 minute animation will be screened continuously in the Broadway Cafébar until 31 July 2007. It then tours to the Showroom Cinema in Sheffield until 31 August 2007 (see details below). I’ve Been Watching You forms part of Digital Broadway’s full summer programme of work which also features Annie Watson, Marcus Coates and Nina Pope & Karen Guthrie. Come and join me at the launch party tomorrow, Thursday 14 June 2007 at 6pm, where Annie Watson and I will be giving short talks about our commissioned works and having a few drinks to celebrate.
