Hello,

I hope you are enjoying the summer.

Here's a quick update on some of my new projects.

This Sunday 2nd August, please join me and my pal Adele Prince, as we host the inaugural Desk Chair Parade on the streets of Manchester. Assembling at Castlefield Gallery at 15:00, a large group of people will embark on an adventure, freewheeling through town on ordinary office chairs... We are still looking for people to take part, so if you would like to wheel with us please contact the gallery to reserve your seat!

Summer time in Glasgow is fairly quiet and, not one to shy away from a challenge, I've decided to use the opportunity to launch my much talked about national campaign to
Bring Back British Rail
. Featuring a classic new logo designed by Fraser Muggeridge, the fledgling campaign website is now up-and-running. Please do have look and be one of the first to sign our online petition to the PM. Expect further updates and info in the future - I've got a feeling it's gonna be huge!

That's all for now.

Best wishes,

Ellie x

ASSEMBLE: Castlefield Gallery at 15:00

As the big ships of bureaucracy sink around us, a rising tide of unwanted office-furniture emerges. The Desk Chair Parade appropriates these redundant symbols of the corporate world, giving them a new lease of life for a 'post-bubble' era.

The Desk Chair Parade is a project by Sports Day (Ellie Harrison & Adele Prince) and forms part of We are the Champions - Castlefield Gallery's 25th Anniversary celebrations. Please email the gallery if you would like to take part.
